I own delivery and the CIO relationship for the provider's data center exit. Migration waves are sequenced by dependency, business criticality and PCI scope, and every cutover has a rollback plan. Phase 2 is planned for 2027.
3 data centers evacuated
Moved hundreds of servers from Coach, Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman out of multiple on-premises facilities and onto AWS.
Savvis → AWS · #MakeItHappy
Moved Coca-Cola North America and Coca-Cola Internal IT out of Savvis, and scaled the AWS platform behind the #MakeItHappy Twitter campaign through Super Bowl traffic. Introduced Terraform as the infrastructure-as-code standard.
International footprint → AWS
Migrated international data center footprints of hundreds of servers, with a PCI security architecture designed for credit card processing.
Azure Databricks → GCP Vertex AI
Moved machine learning workloads, data pipelines and MLOps practices from one cloud provider to another.
Super Bowl-scale demand
Built an auto-scaling player-props platform on EKS that handled peak Super Bowl traffic and generated millions in revenue.
How I lead a transformation
Target state, business case and a sequenced multi-year plan. Each workload gets a quick, evidence-based decision: retire, rehost, replatform, refactor or replace.
Waves are ordered by dependencies, data gravity, criticality and risk. Every wave ships with tested rollback, DR, observability and operational readiness.
Landing zones across AWS, Azure and GCP: identity, networking, encryption and policy, provisioned through IaC, policy as code and CI/CD.
Move analytics and ML workloads to the right architecture, with governance for lineage, access, privacy and model operations.
PCI, HIPAA and GDPR obligations become enforceable controls. FinOps and AWS MAP funding keep unit costs aligned to the business case.
